Live.Awake: The Nature of Truth

    Great Post Ben!

I have asked how do we present the truth of the gospel to a world that as seen its share of hypocrisy. I am wrestling with this on a daily basis because I want to live a life that reflects the nature of Christ. I have decided that if I will be yielded to Him then the Holy Spirit can use me to be an effective witness. I have no desire to water down the gospel but I also don't want to drive the lost away.... Hope this makes sense.

Jesus said , "...for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me." Perhaps the Roman governor Pontius Pilate was the first postmodern (a pre-modern postmodern...?) when he threw up his hands in response to this and said "What is truth?" (John 18:37,38).

Pilate's three words have rang down through the centuries and seem to be particularly popular in our day. Have made truth a doctrine when actually truth is a person? Have we turned truth into cold propositions when actually it is a lover's words whispered into our ears? Are we content to be malnourished by our mismash of Oprah-laced gruel when the King's sumptuous buffet awaits...?

I heard beth Moore comment on this subject somewhere. (Will have to ask the wife where) But her comment was... "Grab a Christian, and change them one at a time."
