Live.Awake: State of the Blog

  • Rodney M · 1 year ago
I've really enjoyed your blog so far. I go through phases when I'm interested in blogs and when I'm not and it rarely has anything to do with the content of the blog. That said - I do enjoy reading your humorous (or attempts at humor) posts - I find them amusing. No offense Heather, but if you write a post that pertains to motherhood or cooking or something, I probably won't be that interested - BUT that doesn't mean I won't read it! And that doesn't mean you shouldn't post about motherhood, cooking, etc...

I definitely like the partnering aspect of live.awake brought about by the two of you posting. It's unique, and could really set this blog apart. I think that in terms of content, every blog is an outlet for it's author(s) to speak on what they are passionate about. So, if you want to preach some, then preach. If you have a funny idea, post it! Usually, the funny posts are gonna get more interest, because a lot of people (me included) don't usually want to read a long preachy post. However, when I'm ready to read one, I can come back and read that long post!

I always enjoy reading your blog. The partnering is great. I read Heather's posts with the same interest that I read Ben's! Guess it is the novelty of having the opportunity to see a former student in real life, up close and personal.

Keep up the good work! And Ben, the non-humorous serious stuff is always welcome to this reader.

These comments are good..keep them coming. Thanks to all of you who visit and comment. It makes doing this blog thing fun! Rodney, I figured you were gleaning all kinds of amazing wisdom out of the mothering and recipe posts! I am just so surprised.

Of all the gazillions of blogs out there... yours is one of them. I check here about once a week and I, too, enjoy the balance between serious and light. what I especially enjoy are any posts that invite participation of some sort from the reader. keep at it, friends!
