At first it was great to reconnect with some old friends, but after a month the novelty wore off. Now I get a message and don't even bother to check it. I know it will be another mass sent picture of a hairless cat or something. MySpace I still like - mostly for the music.

And by the way thanks for a few other recent posts I've enjoyed: Stuff Christians Like, RSS explained and the hedge of protection bit. And I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who's wardrobe is overseen by his wife.

Keep writing. I'll keep reading.

Re: Random Thoughts

No! By "heat" I meant attention. Commenting had been a little dry lately. I guess I didn't do too great a job writing this post! It must be the day off making me write lazily.

No, I really enjoy your contributions. I ESPECIALLY like it when you disagree. For me, it's the whole point of having an open format like a blog. When the comments get going and people are being honest it creates an "iron sharpening iron" moment that is exciting.

The last thing I want is for you to hold back. Often, you give other people "permission" to be honest as well.

Re: Random Thoughts

Ben,

I regret if my perspective seemed like heat to you. I didn't intend that. Such is the freedom and discomfort of an open forum, I guess. I experienced likewise, blogging and sitting in living rooms. The reason I keep reading you is because of my respect for you. Well, and the humor at times is very good as well.

Re: Random Thoughts

I'm not. That was a poor attempt at sarcasm... I picked on Josh Groban in a humorous way one time and got the angriest email I've ever received from this blog. I learned then that Josh Groban is apparently off limits!

Re: Random Thoughts

Why are you mad at Josh Groban?

I'm genuinely interested.
