Live.Awake: Combining Dance and Killer Vocals

That is one of the stranger things I have seen. (Your new worship project being the strangest!) The dancing's not bad, it's just such a strange mix of genres for me. Plus, how come the girls have to have the handheld mics?

Uncle Jesse bought his own headset mic so that he could have both hands free for a more effective moonwalk during his solo.

    Ben.

I have to admit that you really did have me going. My co-worker had to come in and push my jaw closed and wipe up the pool of spit.

    You are such a dork!

Something about Uncle Jesse makes me think he's some creepy James Bond villain in disguise. Like, just after the clip ends he glares at the camera and says, "I don't expect your applause, Mr. Bond; I expect you to DIE! HAHAHAHAHA!"

I think that, once again, the blue ruffles on the women really adds to the performance. I am impressed that someone can break it down in the blue suit and dress shoes. His hair is just a tad too long for a good Christian boy, don't you think? You better make sure he cuts it before the big performance in the park.

Also, you can bring your show to Mexico just as long as you have the vocal echos and the awesome keyboards with their translated signs, and I insist that you bring Phil Collins along with you.

Our computer is in the same basement area as the TV. The family was watching the Palin interview with Charlie. When I saw you had a video I made sure the sound was off and viewed the clip.

Without the vocals or music, I had the distinct impression I was watching a Lawrence Welk routine fast forwarded into the present.

Since I am old enough to remember watching the show as a child on my grandparents floor --at seven-eight years old, I liked the stuff-- truly, this was a surreal experience! It got me thinking a lot about culture.
